What's new
Updates
Everything that has changed in FutsalDev, newest first.
- Latest
A free public tactics board and a broadcast-grade arena
- NewTry the tactics board without an account
Anyone can open the tactics board from the landing page and build a play with the full 2D/3D board, drawing tools and presets. Visitors can keep one draft of up to three frames and share a watermarked link or short video — saving a full library and clean exports come with free club access.
- NewFlip the court
Two new buttons mirror the whole play horizontally or vertically, on full and half court, across every frame at once.
- NewWatch saved plays in 2D or 3D
Saved and shared animations now open with a 2D/3D switch, so viewers pick the view they prefer — the play looks identical in both.
- NewFree-drawn tactical zones
Draw zones anywhere on the pitch without selecting players, and choose a solid or dashed style. Linking zones to players is still there as an option.
- ImprovedDribbles carry the ball
Draw a dribble from a player who has the ball at their feet and the ball now travels along the same curved run, ending just in front of them.
- ImprovedA proper arena feel
Broadcast-style lighting, a satin court sheen, deeper 2.5D stands, a rolling paneled ball in 3D and a larger centred FutsalDev emblem — in the board, shared links and video downloads.
- ImprovedSmoother on iPad
Animations now redraw at a steady 60 per second on fast 120 Hz screens, only moving pieces are repainted, and 3D motion trails reuse memory instead of rebuilding every frame.
- FixedShared links play again
Older shared animations whose Play button stayed greyed out now play normally, and the player shows a live time readout while you scrub.
Edit sessions, drill videos in plans and private ratings
- NewEdit training sessions
Open any session and press Edit to change the title, date, time, length, venue and notes, reorder drills, adjust their durations and add or remove drills. Attendance already marked is kept.
- NewDrill videos in the session plan
Videos attached to drills now play right inside each drill step on the session page, so you can check the set-up mid-session.
- NewEdit plays from the Playbook
Every saved play now has an Edit play button that opens it on the tactics board. Saving updates the same play instead of creating a copy.
- NewCheck in for sessions and matches
Players see their next sessions and matches on their home screen and can tap Going, Maybe or Can't make it. Coaches see the answers and a headcount on the session page.
- NewRadar comparisons
On a player's profile, compare their radar against their previous assessment, the squad average or their position's average, shown as a dashed shape behind their own scores.
- FixedRatings stay private on the squad board
Players viewing a match or the squad page now only see their own ratings. Teammates' cards no longer show overall scores or form, and tapping a teammate shows only tactical info like position, minutes and goals.
- FixedTop highlights behave
On player profiles, the highlights video now waits until you pick a clip, starts at that moment, and stops when the sequence ends instead of playing the whole match.
A new home, player cards and full translations
- NewCommand Center
A new home screen with your next event and countdown, one-tap Match Day Mode, squad pulse, recent form and quick actions. The app is now organised into four hubs: Command Center, Squad & Players, Match Center and Training & Tactics.
- NewScouting-style player cards
Squad cards now show photos, squad numbers, availability and recent ratings. Player profiles get a card-style header with their top highlights, and players get a home screen with their own card, one-tap availability and the coach's latest feedback.
- NewShareable player card
Export a player's card as an image with club logo, photo, squad number, position and top attributes — ready to share from your phone or download on desktop.
- NewSpanish and Portuguese
The whole app now works in English, Spanish and Portuguese with proper futsal terms (portero/goleiro, cierre/fixo, ala, pívot/pivô). Pick your language from the menu; legal pages stay in English.
- ImprovedTactics and Playbook together
The tactics board and Playbook now share one page, and the Playbook offers five starting points: blank full court, attacking half-court, corner set play, kick-in rotation and fly keeper 5v4.
Faster match analysis, Veo links and event import
- NewMultiple camera angles
Add a goal cam (e.g. a GoPro) next to the sideline video, line the clocks up once, and switch angle at the same moment.
- NewKeyboard tagging
On a laptop: Space plays/pauses, J/L skip 5s, C switches camera, 1-5 pick players on court, and letters tag actions.
- NewSwap units
Save Unit 1 and Unit 2 and swap both quartets in one tap (or U). Minutes and on-court goals update themselves.
- NewShot faced from quick tag
Tap Shot faced (or M) to place the shot and goal target without leaving the video.
- ImprovedSide-by-side analysis
On bigger screens the video stays pinned on the left with Quick tag and Moments on the right.
- ImprovedVeo jumps to the moment
With a Veo link on a match, tapping any tagged moment or player clip opens Veo a few seconds before the action.
- NewImport match events
Drop in a CSV or JSON export from Veo or another tool. Goals, shots, fouls and set pieces turn into tagged moments you can assign players to.
Club colours and a personalised tactics court
- NewView as player (admin)
Admins can open any player profile and press View as player to see the app exactly as that player does, read-only. Handy for demos.
- NewPlayer highlight reels
On a player's profile, filter their video clips by type, match or good/needs-work, then play them back-to-back as one reel.
- NewClub colours
Choose Club colours in the theme picker to use readable colours drawn from your club logo. Dark badge colours are adjusted so text stays legible.
- NewCustom tactics court
Choose your court and line colours and show your club badge in the centre circle. Your court choices carry through the 2D and 3D board, Playbook and video downloads on this device.
- ImprovedBadge opacity
The centre-circle badge now fits fully inside the circle, and a Badge opacity slider in Court appearance lets you fade it so plays stay easy to read.
Smarter lines and training equipment on the tactics board
- NewRun, Pass and Dribble lines
Choose a line type from the Draw button. Lines get arrowheads, straighten out automatically, smooth wobbly strokes and snap to players. Tap a line in Move mode to change or delete it.
- NewTraining equipment
Add cones, poles, marker discs, mini-goals, hurdles, agility ladders and mannequins to drills — in 2D, 3D, animations, shared links and videos.
Send feedback from inside the app
- NewSend feedback
Report a bug, suggest an improvement or ask for a missing feature from the new Send feedback page, with screenshots attached. You can see the status of everything you've sent.
Animated tactics and players you can turn
- ImprovedComplete outfield development recommendations
Outfield players now get distinct individual work, relevant mobility and recovery, team drills and role-specific guidance for fixo, ala or pivot. Their four-week plans progress from baseline technique through pressure and opposed practice to a match-like test.
- NewPlaybook: a study library for animations
Tag every tactics animation as a Movement, Set-piece or Training drill, and share it with the whole club or chosen teams. Coaches and players open the new Playbook page to filter, search and watch them, with arrows on or off.
- NewMatch video timeline for the whole team
Press Tag moment while watching a match video to capture the time, then pick what happened — team phases like presses and power plays, outfield actions like duels and turnovers, or goalkeeper actions. Tag players, mark it good or needs work, and add a note. Filter the timeline, see counts per event, and use Play all to watch the clips back to back.
- NewVideo clips on player pages
Every tagged moment featuring a player now appears under Video clips on their page, with the coach's note.
- NewMatch video with jump-to moments
Link a YouTube, Vimeo or Veo recording to any match, add the time of each shot, and tap it to jump the video straight to that moment.
- NewWorks when the signal drops
In Match Day mode, stat taps, shots and the score are saved on your phone when there's no signal and sync by themselves when it returns. Session attendance works the same way. A bar shows how many changes are waiting.
- ImprovedLast match stays open offline
The match, squad and sessions you last opened stay viewable even with no connection.
- NewDownload animations as video
Turn any tactics animation into a short video (square for Instagram or wide) with one tap, ready to drop into your team's WhatsApp group.
- NewShare animations with a link
Create a view-only link for a saved animation that anyone can watch without an account. Switch the link off any time.
- NewParent & guardian access
Coaches can create a guardian link from a player's Data & privacy card. Parents see upcoming sessions and matches and your feedback, can set availability and give consent, and get the same notifications as their child.
- NewAcademy Overview
See every team in your club on one screen — squad size, next match and session, attendance and average rating — and tap straight into any team.
- NewPlayers can play up
Bring a player from another squad into your team with the new Guest players button on the Squad page. They keep their home team.
- NewAge groups
Label each team U10, U14, First team and so on from the Academy Overview.
- NewFutsalDev on your home screen, with phone notifications
Install FutsalDev like an app with its own icon, and switch on phone notifications under 'Notifications & app'. Everything that appears in the bell also pops up on your phone, even when the app is closed. On iPhone, add it to your home screen first.
- NewPlayers show which way they face
Players and goalkeepers on the tactics board now have arms and shoulders, in 2D and 3D. Tap a player and drag the white handle to turn them; drag the body to move them.
- NewFrame-by-frame animations
Open the film button to build a move frame by frame, set how long each step takes, then play, pause or scrub through it. Players and the ball glide smoothly between frames.
- NewAutomatic movement arrows
Arrows are drawn for you from how each player and the ball move. Use the eye button to show or hide them.
- NewClub animation library
Save animations with a name and description, then open, update, copy or delete them. Every coach in your club can use them.
In-app help, custom attributes and easier match-day fixes
- NewUpdates page
This page. Every time a new version of FutsalDev goes live you'll find a plain-English summary of what changed here.
- NewHelp built into the app
A '?' button next to every page title and a floating help button open a panel explaining what the page is for and what you can do. There's also a Help centre with search, a workflow overview, FAQs and the user guide PDF, plus a short welcome tour for new coaches you can replay any time.
- NewCoach-defined attributes
Add, rename, hide or remove the attributes you track for your club or a single team, and keep recommendations relevant: each attribute carries its own exercises and four-week plan, and drills can be tagged to attributes so the planner still picks the right work.
- FixedSquad Selector remembers your line-up
Your saved squad plan now loads back when you return to the page instead of starting from an empty court.
- FixedNew attributes score correctly
Newly added attributes are now saved with the score you set on an assessment, instead of showing as zero on the radar.
- FixedRadar chart centred again
The category rings line up with the middle of the radar however many attributes you track.
- ImprovedRemoving shots on the shot map
Shots are numbered and listed, each with a big delete button, plus 'Undo last shot' for misplaced taps — during live match day too.
- ImprovedSwitching teams on your phone
The team switcher, 'New team' and all invite codes are now in the phone menu, with the active team shown in the header.
- ImprovedTighter permissions
Role changes and club coach records are locked down to club owners and managers only, and player photos are only visible to people connected to that player.
Search visibility
- ImprovedFound on Google
Page titles, descriptions, share images, sitemap and site verification were all completed so FutsalDev pages appear properly in search and when links are shared.
Players without accounts, and free trials by DM
- NewPlaceholder players
Add players to your squad before they sign up. When they later join with an invite code you can link the two and all their history merges across.
- ImprovedFree trial sign-up
Clubs now start a free trial by messaging FutsalDev on Instagram straight from the landing page.
Match day depth, squad planning and full branding
